Erin Palmer was trying to make a fresh start in a new town. The last thing she wanted to do on moving day was take time out to stop at a Valentine's Day festival. She only did it to make the move more enjoyable for her precious little girl.

Her intentions were to get in and out as quickly as possible. She wasn't expecting it to be an all day affair, and she certainly wasn't prepared for a run-in with Cupid.

Shot by Cupid Arrow A Short and Sweet Romance edition by Brooke St James Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

Erin and her daughter Audrey just came to Georgia from Florida with her truck pulling trailer filled with her possessions. Her sister Ashley and her husband Ben want to meet her at the Valentine festival against her better judgement she finds a parking place to accommodate what she needs. They run into a former co worker of her sister Ashley named Shannon, and they introduce her brother Dr. Luke Mitchell and he is a little grumpy because he was dragged to this event just like she was. This is a short story so I will just say these two lonely people were in the right place at the right time.
Just the thing for Valentine's Day. Fair tale story and I like happy endings. Also like stories that are clean and this was one. Like his style of writing. Have now read several of her books and have enjoyed them.
This short story was a sweet and fun story to read . I know that it is farfetched that someone could fall in love this way , it still was a cute story.
An interesting premise that comes on a bit too much too soon in relationship development which ends up feeling awkward at times. Still, it's an amusing effort at a modern fairy tale.
For a short story it was really interesting, I do wish you would have written another few chapters and not left your readers wondering what might happen next. It was like love at first sight something like how I met my late husband it was innocent on both of our parts at the beginning never knowing our friendship would turn into anything but friends!
I would recommend this to all young and mid-single females to read this book. Very good book!
Being in my early 40s and single, sometimes make reading romance books like these hard. Most of the time romance books are always describing the hero and heroine kind of like Ken & Barbie. This one only slightly did. It focused more on Cupid, or God, as the one with the arrow, and trying to pair up two unsuspecting individuals. Because this had the religious aspect to it, not to mention still allowing for free agency, it gives singles like myself hope. And the idea that fairytales can happen... ;-)
I love Brooke's books (I always wish they were longer but I love them!) but this one was a little too over the top for me to be able to really enjoy it. Her characters usually fall for each other quickly but falling in love and planning a wedding on the same day they meet was a little too unrealistic (not to mention getting shot with a cupid's arrow). Add in that there was hardly any back story on either character and it was really hard for me to get emotionally invested at all in their story.
